Split text using shapes | DaVinci Resolve

A while back I made a split text effect using polygons and I got a question: “How can this be done with shapes?”. Well this video explains how you can split text with shapes. And let’s face it, shapes are cool and have a lot of potential but they could be way better – hopefully they will add more functionality to them out of the box so we don’t have to invent our own math equations to do simple things – like the Write On function in the paint node.
