Easily Embed multiple Subtitles

In this video I show you how to easily embed multiple language subtitles to a video (like a movie) by using ffmpeg. Embedding a subtitle is also known as softsub, meaning the subtitles can be turned on/off but usually only one subtitle can be displayed at a time. This depends on the video player that is used, in the example I give I used PotPlayer and it can play 2 subtitles simultaneously. However, as I explain in the video the second subtitle is usually used to display translated signs.

These are the lines of code I used in the video to embed the subtitles. You can copy the lines, just make sure you change the language, maps and metadata to what you have. You can find the language codes that you can use for the metadata at this wikipedia link
